TAG | Greg Oden

This week we welcome the very comedian Pat Barker to the show. Greg Oden goes down with another season ending injury. Did he just not get enough calcium as a kid? We contemplate Allen Iverson’s return to Philadelphia and Gregg tells a story about A.I. that may or may not be true. Ron Artest admits to drinking Hennessey during halftimes when he played for Chicago. Aaron does a stellar Ray Romano impersonation. Magazines and newspapers are in battle. We discover that Barker doesn’t read books. Ex-ref Tim Donaghy’s books is published. Bryon RUssell challenges Michael Jordan to a game of one-on-one. Aaron tries out phrases to describe putting the basketball in the basket. And we have Players of the Week.

Episode #2: Goodbye Iverson?

In this week’s episode we talk about Allen Iverson’s retirement (for now), the sorry state of our city’s NBA team (the Sixers), and the sorry state and future of the Nets. Gregg recounts meeting the Sixers dance team. Dave attempts a Stephen A. Smith voice, but wisely gives up. Aaron talks about his childhood through the play of Allen Iverson. The next time Greg Oden is in Philly for a game, he should take/teach improv classes at the Philly Improv Theater. Aaron and Gregg re-enact the comments by Clippers announcers about an Iranian player and we once again have Players of the Week. Comment or e-mail us what you think at holdingcourtpodcast@gmail.com.
